At present, it is known that the common mode signal is two signals with the same amplitude and the same phase. The common mode signal generally comes from the power grid. The common mode signal will affect the normal operation of the circuit board, and will also interfere with the surrounding environment in the form of electromagnetic waves.
Since an inductor is used to suppress common-mode signals, it must be related to the magnetic field. First, let's introduce the energized helical sense and the direction of the generated magnetic field (for project applications, such as suppressing common mode signals, quantitative calculations are not required, the magnetic field generated by the inductor and the size of the magnetic flux.
When the number of turns and current of the coil wound on the magnetic core remain unchanged, the more magnetic lines of force passing through the magnetic core, the greater the magnetic flux, and the greater the corresponding inductance. The natural function of the inductance is to prevent the change of the current flowing through it, and its essence is to prevent the change of its magnetic flux. This is the basic principle of using common mode inductance to suppress common mode current.
